Sunderland is a classic New England farm town nestled in the Pioneer Valley. Graceful historic homes border its main street which is lined with stately, mature maple trees. Sunderland farmers continue to work one of the finest soils in the world, Hadley Loam. The town landscape also includes the Mt. Toby highlands, one of the largest remaining contiguous blocks of forestland left in Massachusetts.
